One of the kids had us stop on the steps and his friends took a picture of him with us. It was quite hilarious. They tried practicing their English, and I tried my Chinese.

The wall is built on a mountain ridge, and parts of it are quite steep. Here we are looking down on a guard station.

This little slide is one way to get down the mountain to the parking lot. You can walk or take the chair lift up, then you sit on a little cart and coast down the mountain. The track is probably half a mile or so. Obviously the liability suits haven't hit China yet.
